Step 1: Look for your email invitation
When your study administrator or Trialbee invites you to join Honey, you’ll receive an email from hello@app.trialbee.com.
- Subject: “You’ve been invited to join Honey” or similar
- If you don’t see it, check your spam or junk folder
- Still nothing? Follow the steps in I'm not receiving notifications from Trialbee
Step 2: Click the activation link
In the body of the invitation email, click the activation link. This will open Honey in your browser and start the account setup flow.
Step 3: Verify Your Email
You’ll be asked to verify your email address by entering a 6-digit code that’s automatically sent to your inbox.
- Open the verification email
- Copy the code
- Paste it into the verification screen
Codes are time sensitive. If the code expires, you can request a new one on the same screen.
Step 4: Set your password
Next, you’ll be asked to create a password for your account. Make sure it meets the platform’s security requirements:
- Minimum 10 characters
- At least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, and one number
- Avoid using common words or sequences (e.g., "password123")
Tip: Use a password manager (like 1Password, Dashlane, or LastPass) to store your password securely and avoid losing access.
Step 5: Complete multi-factor authentication (if required)
Some studies have MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication) enabled to protect sensitive patient data (PII/PHI). You may be asked to complete one of the following after setting your password:
- Email code
- SMS code
- Microsoft Authenticator app (QR code or 6-digit time-based token)
Follow the prompts on-screen to complete MFA setup. If you don’t receive a code, check out Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) in Honey for troubleshooting steps.
Step 6: Log in
Once you’ve completed all steps above, you’ll be directed to the Honey login screen. Enter your email and password to log in.
