To help keep your account secure, all passwords created in the Honey platform must meet the following requirements:
- Minimum length: 10 characters
- At least one uppercase letter (A–Z)
- At least one lowercase letter (a–z)
- At least one number (0–9)
Special characters (e.g., !, @, #) are not required but may be used for added strength.
Tips for creating a strong password
- Avoid using common phrases like "password123" or your name
- Consider using a passphrase (e.g., “SummerTrip2025” or “ReadMoreBooks1”)
- Use a password manager to generate and securely store complex passwords
When do I create or change my password?
You’ll be asked to set a password when:
- Activating your account for the first time
- Resetting your password using the “Forgot password?” link
- Updating security settings if your account has been flagged for unusual activity
Good to know
- Passwords are case-sensitive
- If your password doesn't meet the requirements, the system will not allow you to continue
- For extra protection, many studies also require Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) after login
