Honey provides six ways to contact patients directly from the platform—three for calling and three for messaging. These methods are secure, built-in, and automatically track your communication activity (where applicable).

Calling options
To initiate a call:
- Open the Candidate Assessment area in Honey.
- Click on a candidate from the list.
- Select the “Call Options” button at the bottom of the screen.
- Choose the method you'd like to use.

Messaging options
To send a message:
- Open the Candidate Assessment area in Honey.
- Select a candidate and go to the “Messages” tab.
- Choose the message type (Email, SMS, or WhatsApp) and send.

Tips for choosing the right method
- Use Browser Call or Proxy Call when you want to stay within the platform and ensure activity is tracked.
- Choose Manual Call only if you’re okay with manually logging your activity and with the patient having your phone number.
- Use Email for formal communications (e.g., instructions, confirmations).
- Choose SMS or WhatsApp for casual check-ins or quick follow-ups.
- Consider Video Call for eligibility conversations, virtual screening, or building trust.
