TABLE OF CONTENTS

What happens when a candidate consents

Before you can send a WhatsApp message to a candidate who has not messaged you first, Honey sends a consent request as the first message. The candidate taps I consent (or a similar button) to agree to receive messages from you.

Once the candidate taps "I consent", the message you prepared sends automatically. You do not need to retype or resend it. It goes out as soon as consent comes back.

Consent allows a messaging window to be opened. It is not a permanent permission to message the candidate.

That window stays open for 24 hours from the candidate's last response or message to you. If 24 hours pass without a reply from the candidate, the consent window closes. You will need to send a new consent request before you can message them again.
