What should I do if Honey is running slow?

Modified on Sun, 3 Aug at 5:03 PM

If the Honey platform feels slow to load, lags while navigating, or takes a long time to process actions, here are a few steps you can take to improve performance and help us troubleshoot if needed.

Step 1: Refresh and Restart

  • Try refreshing the page (Ctrl + R or Command + R).
  • Log out and then log back in.
  • Close any unused browser tabs or background applications to free up memory.

Step 2: Try a Private Window or Different Browser

Performance issues are sometimes caused by browser settings, plugins, or local caching.

  • Open Honey in a private/incognito window.
  • Try another supported browser (we recommend Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge).
  • If Honey runs better there, consider clearing your cache and cookies in your main browser.

Step 3: Check Your Internet Connection

Honey is a cloud-based platform, so a slow or unstable connection can cause delays.

  • Test your internet speed at speedtest.net.
  • Switch to a wired connection or stronger Wi-Fi if possible.
  • If you’re using a VPN or firewall, try disabling it temporarily to see if it improves speed.

Step 4: Report the Issue to Support

If things are still slow after trying the steps above, please reach out so we can help.

  • Use the Help button in the top-right of Honey and click Contact Us,
    or
  • Email us at support@trialbee.com

Please include:

  • What actions or pages are running slowly (e.g., Candidates tab, Study Settings)
  • Any patterns (e.g., certain time of day, after login)
  • Your browser and device type

We’ll Take It From There

Our support and engineering teams will investigate and let you know if any broader issues are affecting performance.
